The spacing between the top of the value and the base of the ’X’ of the 5p is 13-14mm in the first printing. A second printing was issued in October 1971, the spacing between the top of the value and the base of the ’X’ of the 5p is 15-17mm. On both values the value is above the ‘X’ on most of the surcharges, but some are to the right of the ‘X’.
